Netherlands records about 840 asylum arrivals in week 42

The Netherlands' asylum inflow in week 42 was about 840, the Rijksoverheid (Dutch central government) said on 19 October 2026.

What counts: The figure covers first asylum applications, repeat applications, resettlement, relocation and family members who travelled to join someone (nareizigers).

The breakdown:

• 500 first applications
• 250 family reunification arrivals (nareizigers who entered, excluding 8EVRM cases)
• 100 other applications, made up of repeat applications, resettlement and relocation

Caveat: The figures are rounded to tens. They are provisional and may differ marginally, the government said.

What is next: The IND (Dutch immigration service) publishes final asylum figures and trends monthly on its website.
